Napoleon-IN

Napoleon, at the crossroads of US 421 and SR 229, combines the past with the present by preserving buildings such as Ye Olde Central House and the Elias Conwell House, which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The cellar beneath some local buildings, still shows evidence of the Underground Railroad movement to free slaves from the south.

Residents of Napoleon today enjoy the use of the Napoleon Senior Center, which many organizations rent for events. Local children are often seen spending time in the playground that is in the town’s public square.

Local businesses include a bank, two restaurants, a lumber company, meat processing plant, hardwood company, grocery store, and gas station.
